Comedian, writer, and actor Taran Killam joins Matt to talk about his role as Hamilton in the 2013 period drama 12 Years A Slave and his time at Saturday Night Live. Taran chats about doing magic in an ultimately cut scene, director Steve McQueen giving a pillow a second take, and pushing for the top hat. She joins Matt to discuss her role as Catherine Martin aka the girl in the well in the 1991 horror film The Silence of the Lambs. Catherine chats about having to gain weight for the role, reading with three different actors all going out for the Jame “Buffalo Bill” Gumb role, and how director Jonathan Demme made her confront her demons.
