We struck comedy gold with Baron’s mom Scharlotte. I think we found out where his timing comes from! In episode 5 Diane and Scharlotte get real about the struggles of single motherhood while pursuing careers. I think this episode shows the unique bond between a mother and the child she raises without a father figure, and how our moms’ ability to push through dark times showed us how to find the lighter side of life as comedians. If you want to watch Baron’s stand-up I suggest his 2 Dope Queenz set on HBO or Conan. He’s also a talented actor seen in Corporate on Comedy Central, Grace and Frankie on Netflix and as himself in his documentary Fatherless on Amazon Prime.
