Ben Schwartz and director extraordinaire Werner Herzog both return to the studio on today’s Comedy Bang Bang! Scott shares his enthusiasm for season two of the Comedy Bang Bang TV series, which premieres on IFC this Friday July 12th, and Ben and Scott discuss the new season of Ben’s series House of Pies. Werner discusses the plight of working with a green screen, reveals what kind of vehicle he drives and what it’s like working on a film with Thomas Cruise. The filmography of Prince and the pronunciation of the word “marshmallow” are mentioned before Werner clues us in on his favorite film of all time and Ben tries out a new character. Comedy Bang Bang will return with a very special B-B-B-BONUS episode this Thursday.

The extremely articulate and hilarious Nathan Rabin stops by to discuss his recent book You Don’t Know Me but You Don’t Like Me which details his misadventures as he followed Phish and Insane Clown Posse on tour, arguably the two most maligned musical acts in existence. Jake talks about his 7-minute Phish experience, fandom in general and is bewildered by Nathan’s transition to a phull-phledged Phish phan. The importance of drugs is discussed, and Nathan shares many more incredible tales including how he came to write a coffee table book with Weird Al Yankovic.

Howie and KuKu welcome the hilarious Jon Dore to the show for the very first time on this week’s WHO CHARTED! Jon talks about fine Canadian cuisine, almost spoils a future classic Howard story and may or may not be on Vicodin. The Billboard Hot 100 chart is discussed, as are situations in which to use “bum” rather than “butt”, and Daft Punk are heralded as having one of the only real “summah” songs of 2013. Howard sings all the theme songs live in studio, and we end the episode by taking questions from live VPN viewers.
