Grab your tissues because it’s a sad day in the hatch today. Tig, Kyle, and David are back together one last time to discuss Tig’s engagement party and then weigh in on their decision to end the podcast. The gang reminisces on their favorite bits, answers fan questions, and talks about future plans. Welp, that’s been podcast.

Kyle and David are Tig-less this week in a chat with a friend of the show from North Carolina Jeff McInnis who has a Ph.D in Neuroscience, about controlling the brain with light. Jeff talks to the guys about testing the effects of light on mice, brain chemistry and decision making, and brain mapping.

Singer-songwriter Sarah Ruth stops by the hatch to discuss loneliness. Sarah gives us tips on how to be a loner which includes: taking yourself on a date, relating to yourself as another person, and being okay with having an imaginary friend.

Kyle, David, and Tig are back with part 2 of last week’s chat on identity. They chat about crafting their identities in the world of comedy, personal fluctuations, and the effect of external pressure.

The Blastoff crew is together again in a hatch away from the hatch as they talk about Tig’s special, David’s experience working on his new Syfy show Reactor, and Kyle’s lively neighborhood. They also find out the origin of “giving him the business” as well as get into identity. What is cool? What is real? Who do you identify as? Stay tuned for part two coming soon!

Kyle and David are Tig-less this week due to unforeseen circumstances, but they try to keep spirits up by chatting with fart fan and The Muppets writer Margee Magee. Margee talks about her love of farts and using farts in her career path through Hollywood. Then, the gang plays “Name That Punky” and check in with mother.

David talks about the process of being anxious and anticipation as he checks in with Kyle during his time at the World Series of Poker. Plus, they check in with Kyle’s mother about some interesting texts she’s received.

David is alone this week to talk about his airport mixup, talk to Kyle and Tig on the phone, and look back on fan favorite bits of the year in the 2014 installment of The Best of Professor Blastoff.

David discusses how he almost got hit by a car, Kyle describes an uncomfortable plane trip, and Tig delves into her travel anxieties. Then, a blastronaut from Lockheed Martin, Rhys Forgie, is in the hatch to discuss global warming, his job working with landfills, and the future of  renewable energy. Finally, a potato-themed Mother Meditation!

Kyle and Tig talk about their missed opportunities on tour and what it’s like to perform at colleges, and David announces a new TV show he’ll be hosting. Then, Maria Tornberg from Super Troopers comes by the hatch to talk about her path to the entertainment industry through the world of modeling, the process of making her own film. and weigh in on Tig’s wedding details.

Kyle explains what a tea ceremony is and David describes what he dislikes about Los Angeles. Then, filmmaker Robbie Pickering joins the gang to talk about the challenges of making a film with a tight budget — from script writing, film festivals, advertising, and so much more. Finally, Kyle closes out the show with a mother meditation and a couple body raps.
